Introduction to the Post Graduate Certificate in Coach-Mentoring & Facilitation in Organisations.
LEADERSHAPE IS CONVINCED OF THE VALUE OF GOOD QUALITY COACHING, MENTORING AND FACILITATION in the work place. However, experience has led us to the conclusion that the good intentions behind these initiatives are often undermined by the lack of training or a proper framework for the provision of this valuable Work-Based Learning.
This understanding has led us to work closely with the University of Chester to develop a unique qualification; The Post Graduate Certificate in “Coach-Mentoring and Facilitation in Organisations”. This qualification is accredited by the University of Chester which has long been known as a leader in Work-Based Learning qualifications.
The design of the programme and the assessment process is intended to enable learners to reflect on their own practice and skills thereby refining and improving technique. This is combined with the development of a good understanding of theory and application. PGC students are enabled to evaluate a variety of different group and one-to-one interventions to ensure that best practice is adopted and maintained.
Students will be required to demonstrate a critical appreciation of;
- The role of coaching and of action learning sets in organisations.
- Where these are most valuable.
- How they contrast with other development methods.
They will have understood the processes and skills involved in being an effective coach and group learning facilitator and be able to demonstrate high levels of competence in practice.
The sponsoring organisation will additonally benefit from the key individualised experiential module;
- A work-based project that demonstrates effective workplace application of the learning and the practical results.
